Our Story

J&M Ranch was not born from a business plan. It was born from a family.

When a Jackson man married a Mundt woman, they shared a simple dream: to build a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and the values that make Texas great. Together they raised three beautiful children, two daughters and a son, and began building a future they hoped would provide opportunity, purpose, and security for generations to come.

Like many families, their journey was not without challenges.

Their son, William, is severely autistic and requires a level of care and understanding that few people truly appreciate. Every day brings unique challenges, but it also brings unique joys. Through William, the family learned patience, perseverance, unconditional love, and the importance of creating a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Later, the family welcomed Terra's brother, Joe, into their home. Following a life-changing injury that left him confined to a wheelchair and dependent on others for around-the-clock care, Joe needed more than assistance… he needed family. Without hesitation, the Jackson and Mundt families came together to ensure he would always have a place to call home, surrounded by people who love him.

As the years passed, the dream began to grow.

What started as a desire to create stability for their family became a vision for something larger: a place where everyone could contribute, belong, and find purpose regardless of their challenges. A place where children could learn responsibility, where loved ones could experience independence, and where hard work would be rewarded with the satisfaction of building something meaningful together.

That vision became J&M Ranch.

Nestled in Liberty County, Texas, J&M Ranch is more than acreage, livestock, and open pastures. It is a testament to resilience. It is proof that adversity does not define a family… how a family responds to adversity does.

Today, J&M Ranch is home to cattle, horses, poultry, crops, fruit trees, and wildlife. The ranch represents the values that have guided the family from the beginning: stewardship of the land, respect for animals, faith in God, and unwavering devotion to family.

Every fence post, every pasture, every tree planted and every animal raised serves as a reminder of why the ranch exists. It exists because a family chose to face life's challenges together rather than apart. It exists because they believed that disabilities do not diminish a person's worth. It exists because they wanted to build a legacy that their children, and future generations, could be proud of.

J&M Ranch stands for Jackson and Mundt, but it also stands for something greater.

It stands for perseverance.

It stands for compassion.

It stands for family.

And it stands as a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful dreams are born not from what life gives us, but from how we choose to respond to the challenges life places before us.

Welcome to J&M Ranch.

Where faith, family, and legacy come together.
